Privacy Policy

Maintaining your information in a secure and confidential manner is a hallmark of Accounting Pulse. Privacy extends that hallmark. Because at Accounting Pulse privacy matters, we want you to understand what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

What we collect

We collect only the information we need. What we seek depends on the services you request. Sometimes the information we collect is anonymous. Where we can, we collect information from you directly. Otherwise, we take steps to confirm that others who give us your information have the authority to do so.

Accounting Pulse provides Contact Us feature on our web site to make it easy for you to ask questions and send comments. This form delivers your information to us using email. To evaluate and respond to your questions or comment, we require your name, email, location and a description of your business and inquiry. You may also choose to provide additional contact or other information. To address your request, Accounting Pulse may need to gather additional information about you, directly or otherwise.

Sensitive personal information includes race or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or other beliefs, trade union membership, physical or mental health, sexual life or criminal records and in some cases social security numbers or financial information. Accounting Pulse works to protect the confidentiality and security of such information it obtains in the course of business. Access to such information is limited and policies and procedures are in place designed to safeguard the information from loss, misuse and improper disclosure. Generally, Accounting Pulse does not request, and discourages you from, providing sensitive or confidential information. If you choose otherwise, you consent to our collection and use of that information in accordance with our privacy practices.

How we use your information

We use your information to understand and meet your needs, and deliver the services you request. We also use your information to evaluate your inquiry and then formulate and communicate a response. For example, we may use it to send you Accounting Pulse information of interest to you. Your personal information is not used in analysis or reporting on use of our web site.

Also note that Accounting Pulse does not collect or compile personal data or information obtained by this web site for dissemination or sale to outside parties for consumer marketing purposes or host mailings on behalf of third parties.

How we protect and update your information

We protect your information from unauthorized access and use with appropriate safeguards and security measures. Accounting Pulse employees are aware of our commitment and uphold it. We seek the same committment from our partners and others with whom we share information.

Information collected by Accounting Pulse will only be kept in order to provide the required service. Once the service has been completed, we keep your information as long as needed, or as long as required by law. After that, it is destroyed, erased or made anonymous. Should you require your information to be updated, amended or deleted from our records, please email our Privacy Office at privacyoffice@accountingpulse.ca outlining your requirements.

We respect your choices

It is up to you whether we can use your information. You generally give us your consent when you request our services. And you have the power to withdraw your consent at any time - simply contact us and let us know. This may end some services you receive from us.

Visitors to our site may be directed to third-party sites for more information such as about vendor services and government entities. Accounting Pulse makes no representation or warranties regarding how user data is store or used on third-party servers. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of each third-party site linked from our web site to determine their use of your personal data.
